Ainu Swords - redux

3 Attachment(s)
Friends,
In response to a couple of bits of positive encouragement, I beg the forum's indulgence whle I post a couple more Ainu blades.
These are "bush knives" and rather late short swords.
The top blade is - I'm pretty sure - a 19th century working knife - a tool. It has a nicely handforged blade and what sure could be a 'user embellished" grip. I thik it is way cool!
The next blade has a Japanese 'yari' or spear has the blade, but the mounts seem entrely Ainu. Since the mounts are not 'trade goods' I assume that this is a late 19th early 20th century sword. Again, I like this guy and i think it may have been made for use by Ainu folks
The third sword seems also to be pure Ainu manufacture, with a stout knife blade , but mounts that look like late Ainu work - mebbe high end 'tourist art?'
Peter
