Nice CURVED Kattara For Sale

Here is a rarer curved kattara sword associated with Oman, but seen on the Swahili coast as well. The kattara is much more commonly seen with a straight blade. This example is 36in. overall, with what is almost assuredly a Indian made blade of 26.5in. The blade shows a classic Indian scarf weld and filled plug along with stamped stars. The hilt is wrapped in silver wire stitched leather straps. The scabbard is tooled leather over wood stitched with silver wire, with moderate quality silver mounts.
