Mandaya Spear?
1 Attachment(s)
Just won this. On the way to me now.
Was listed as a Malaysian spear, but I think it is Mandaya, or possibly Lumad. Seller's description: Broad 15 inch blade with tapered point and median ridge extending to a molded hexagonal panel, the fluted and banded neck of octagonal section; 5 1/2 inch molded brass ferrule; original 95 inch rosewood haft of tapered and extremely flexible form; base with 5 inch iron foot. |
Yeah Bill, looks Mandaya to me (which is a Lumad tribe).

My two are socketed but about the same blade length and outline . Bravo! These are practically never seen for sale . :D Good score Bill; beauty ! |

Yeah, that's what I meant. Getting late here, a bit fuzzy. Should have said, Mandaya, a suburb of Lumad. Is that what I mean? It is a bit later and fuzzier, now. :o |
