Though not strictly "European Armoury", I thought you might like to see some pics of the above taken a couple of years ago. They show the bridge and also the Allied graveyard at Kanchanaburi, Thailand. You will note that there are many Europeans buried there.

Though admittedly not in the scope of the arms and armour discussion, it has been a tender week with the observence of Veterans Day, and along with Ed's great post 'Remember'..........we remember our veterans who fell, who served, and who continue to serve. Our gratitude and respect, not just on that day, but every day. POW-MIA, you are not forgotten. |
