Just finished on eBay unkown sword...genuine?

Anyone have any comments or suggestions to the origins of this sword....the pitting on the blade etc. seems alittle strange....almost 'manufactured' or am I too suspicious

Looks to me like it is 19th century but a ceremonial sword. Probably some sort of brotherhood/Maison's type thing. The screw thread button is a bit odd for military stuff.

I agree with Tim-19th century, possibly ceremonial. I've seen several swords from the early 19th of this form, including a few "battle-worthy" ones with commerative/spurious dates? I always wondered if there had been a revival period of Crusades-era patterns for this period?
