Characteristic of nguku bima
 

Guys, maybe I do not have a good pair of eyes and hope to seek your opinion. How can I differentiate between nguku bima and a broken kembang kacang? Is there any distinct features where we can see clearly between this two?

Good question. :) Generally there are quite a few types and characteristics of kembang kacang (also known as sekar kacang / belalai gajah).
In general, a nguku bima (also known as Kuku Alang in Brunei) tend to extrude horizontally and curl slightly. There are variations. ;)
If you have a few examples, we can discuss specifics. Bring it on... :D

No, I do not have my own picture for reference. I was browsing the web and ebay until I noticed them. Similarly to the 2nd picture (courtesy from Hidayat), is that also called nguku bima? I also noticed that nguku bima were mostly found on 17th-18th century keris. Well again, I am a beginner and that is what I thought.
