Chinese weapon metallurgy and blacksmithing question

I am looking for modern research material written about Chinese metallurgy and or blacksmithing related to the production of weapons in the Ming and or Qing Dynasties. I would be interested in information on almost any group of weapons but hand held cold weapons like swords, mace, etc. is my primary concern. Any help group members can offer will be sincerely appreciated.

I edited my initial question by adding blacksmithing to my search for written research material or descriptions or weapon making during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Peter Dekker of Mandarin Mansion may be another good one to ask.
