Mameluke saber, century i realy dont know?

blade is turkish ribbon, made with yalman, back of the blade is thicker i canot describe much better but i have few older turkish blades with that construction, it is not T back like a foot soliders kilijs from 18/19 century but diferent like a blade is big fuller and broadening on the back.

Handle is ivory, mountings are gilt silver very nice work.

If someone knows more, age, origin of the blade, etc.

It is a really beautiful Ottoman sword with a Turkish ribbon blade - congratulations with a great addition to your collection!
The age, as you said already, 18-19 century. If there are any silver marks, then the fittings can be dated more exactly.

Interesting how it has a Turkish ribbon blade but with the curvature of a western European mameluk blade (i.e. curving along the whole length of the blade rather than just the latter half).

Very beautiful ribboned blade. Ottoman/Turkish. Love the deep curve
