Antique small kastane sword, before after
6 Attachment(s)
Hello dear members,
I wanted to.share with you my last aquisition. An old kastane said to be 17th-18th century. Not too expensive because it was all "blackened" I couldn't leave her like that so... After some hours it shines again 🙂 Not perfect and maybe for many of you I would have leaved it untouched . |
To me, it looks great!
It does still look very old, but much better than before. Good job! |

Here some.pics of the blade,
Can specialists help please: A local old made blade / not european.? Steel seems good, crucible steel ? Or maybe it is due to age and humidity ? it is a thick blade. Sadly with lot of bumps on the edge of the blade Any comment welcomed Kind regards. |
