Late 18th c. to mid. 19th c. Santa Cruz de Mudela dagger
 

I am the happy winner of this small (23 cm) late 18th century to mid. 19th century Santa Cruz de Mudela dagger. The blade shows thick encrusted corrosion which I will remove soon as I have it in my hands.
The seller thought that it's a Ligurian dagger but I got told from a knowledgeable collector that it's from Spain.

Here is a picture of how I received the little dagger, thick encrusted corrosion.

And here the same dagger after I've cleaned and polished it.

And a picture together with other daggers of similar size for comparison.

Wow, Sajen, you did a great job restoring the surface of this awesome dagger. Did you use any solvent or just 'elbow grease' :D

Thank you! :) The side I've pictured was cleaned by elbow grease only, the other side I've cleaned from the thick rust layer with vinegar essence but I will have the same elbow grease work to polish the surface and get out most of the pitting and to polish the surface.
