A pair of Africa found swords
I again don't remember where I found either of these. There is a third but I can't locate it at the moment. I know I got these before 1997 but I have moved back and forth across the Atlantic 7 times since then and three more moves within Germany since 2017.
Anyway, somehow I believe the "flat" one is from Sierra Leone. The other I may have got in Burundi or what was Zaire. I was there during the rebellion with the terrorists coming in from Rawanda.. |

The one without the scabbard looks like a ww1 East African piece.
Lucky the pictures are still here. I also did have two other similar knives. All long gone. I let this piece go to a member. I must of had a funny turn of something. http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ghlight=Mauser |
I'd say that the upper one reminds me a lot of the Agadez style swords and knifes of the sahara touareg.
