Very good wootz blade; the handle silver decorations seem newer than anticipated and the pommel reminds me of Yemeni work.
Do you think it is a Persian blade with "Arabian" furnishings?

Blade is original, koftgari looks original, silver work looks new,not becuase of its rather simple chiselling, but first of all because of too many tughra and sah stamps. They dont look original when you examine the close ups (too deeply struck),and there are too many of them .A bit exaggerated in number .Plus,a technical detail; those stamps always come with several zig-zag scratches to the silver pieces, formed because of taking sample to test its grade..Here I didnt see any scratches although I checked carefully to help me decide to bid or to stay away.In today's Syria even much better mountings are made for old jambiya blades.
