Navaja like knife

I wonder if anyone recognises this folding knife which I would like to identify . Blade length around 6 inches. I am not sure whether I am in the correct section to show this knife ... as it is possibly ethnographic rather than European.

I've seen a lot of similar folding bowie knives. The tail piece that guards the blade tip swings up to lock the blade in place. Definitely British/Indian or American designs ...
here's a couple Joseph Rogers, sheffield no. 6 ones I found with a quick google. and an Indian copy (with the brass tail/blade guard piece) looks more like yours...I like the solid crossguard as opposed to the swinging UK one. |

You're welcome. Almost bought one a good while back, but it didn't lock up tightly, bit wobbly. I think more from age & misuse tho. cool tho. Nice & unusual.
