A Thirty Years War powder flask
10 Attachment(s)
This mornimg the postman brought me this powderflask. It is in a good condition with a wooden body, iron mounts and a belt hook. The opening mechanism is functional and I think it could have been made around 1620 - nearly 400 years ago!

Hello Ibrahiim,
thanks a lot. It looks as if my powderflask is a little older then I thought, made at Nuernberg for Graz in about 1580. All very interesting and much to learn. I found the same flask in a foto posted by matchlock at the right side. corrado26 |
