Tenegre Hilt
2 Attachment(s)
Greetings folks,
I was asked to restore this Tenegre hilt. I was so taken with its beauty that I had to post so that we can have an archive of this older type of hilt. The hilt is black wood (probably kamagong) with most of the silver missing or partially present and broken. Many of the brass and silver nails were missing as well. Here is the piece as I got it: |

Your restoration work just keeps getting better and better. Great job. Ian. |
Doesn't even look like the same piece. Jose your insight into what should be there is only matched by your artistic skill.

Great work (as usual) on what you have done in replacing all the missing pieces of bling on this tenegre Jose. Now that he is complete once again he really has something to smile about. :D Could you please post a couple of photos of the complete piece to go with the ones that you have (so graciously) posted of the hilt ?
Best, Robert |
Wow, just wow.
