A plain moukala

I just won the auction for this gun. Completely unadorned but it looks like an honest old weapon. The snaphaunce mechanism doesn't appear to fit the gun so I suppose it must be a replacement.
The seller says its 19th century. Does that seem reasonable from the picture? I wonder if this was used for actually hunting/war or just Fantasia |
A nice looking piece. Detailed pictures of the barrel would help answer your question.

That looks like a much nicer example than mine. What drew me to this gun, besides the price, is how shiny and worn the stock is. It looks like it'd been handled for many years.

Forgot to post more detailed pictures. Unfortunately the lock doesn't work. I can pull the cock out but the seat doesn't engage so it doesn't lock in place. I sent the lock to an expert, he said it was likely an English or Dutch lock probably from the 1800s but showed features of older wheel locks so it may be older. Most of the screws are modern obviously.
