This is a recent purchase that I believe is from Bali. Does anyone recognize the hilt? TIA

Yep, looks Bali indeed.
I've seen this jolly fellow before. He seems related to Buddha to me (certainly similar to Chinese interpretations of Buddha that we have seen, but as per our previous discussions i would not jump to any conclusions. ;)
Buddhism has also had a strong influence in Bali.

Good point David.

Must admit though, not seen very many Buddha Bali hilts.

Thanks! This one is a little bigger than the others I have. The blade it 17.5 inches. The whole thing is 23" in the scabbard. The blade is better than the others also. It is much darker (blackened?), a little thicker, and (IMO) could actually serve as a weapon. The hilt is what really sold me though. The jolly little guy appears to be carrying a wine flask, and given his tilt and the amused look on his face I would guess he has a few snorts!
