Stabbing Isizenze (Zulu axe)

4 Attachment(s)
Finally found the stabbing isizenze (axe) i've been looking for for the last few of years. on it's way from the USA, should be here in a week or so. comments welcome & thanks in advance for any more info.

31" length, asymmetric forged blade.

as mentioned elsewhere, shaka frowned on these axes as he wanted the universal shift to the iklwa (assegai), so they are fairly unusual. the were mostly made by shona/xhosa subject tribes for tribute to the amaZulu. would be interesting to know where this particular asymmetric style came from.

more details on arrival.
