Yet another mystery knife
4 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,
I obtained this knife some time ago not knowing what it was then and still not knowing despite many hours of looking through books and searching the net. It is a small knife being 9.25 ins overall with a 5.125 ins long triangular blade 0.375 ins width of faces. The Quillons are downturned and together with the scabbard is very ornate, the fittings and scabbard are bronze or brass and the handle is ivory. Your comments would be appreciated. Miguel |
Look like a European dagger!?

Appears to be modern made out of various parts.

Thanks for your comment, I lean towards your thinking also. Miguel |

I agree it could be fairly modern but its style suggests it also could be older. I believe it to be a genuine piece possibly a Victorian repro as they were prone to do. All the parts are matched and the pommel cap is embossed with the spoked circle emblem in the centre of the quillon, Miguel |
