Very nice

very nice Yatagan. not sure where its from , probably Balkans, GHreece or Serbia region.
Does the blade have any writings?

I'll tala stab at it (every pun intended :D ).

The Damascus steel pattern and type of hilt might indicate origins being from Turkey proper.

It's Algerian. The pommel and the engraving tell it. Nice patternwelded blade

Ward, what would make this Algerian? - the size? Now that you say that, I think you may be right, but what characteristics point in this direction?
