 Arabic dagger for ID and possible translation

		I will not try and describe details i wouldn't know how to name; but i expect the pictures to speak by themselves. 
	I would be thankful for your comments. Provenance and approximate date are vital. ... A dof course the translation of how many parts you feel like providing. The blade measures 21 cms. Thanks a lot in advance. .  |

 This is a Persian Khandjar, or Jambiya. 19th Century Qajar period. The handle and scabbard are chiseled steel, the blade could be damascus steel (but I doubt it). The inscriptions are most likely Koranic invocations. Good quality dagger.

	I also think the blade steel is plain. Some traces of gold can be seen in the dot line that surrounds the blade base motifs; also some traces of red, but these most probably dragged from the red paint applied to the hilt. What would this red stuff be for ... not for sealing ? .  | 
		
 This is just a resin applied to seal the gap where the old resin crumbled out. Someone filled it with colored resin or paste, not really proper material for this.
