Very Fine Early 20th Century Dha Sword
 

For sale is this lovely late19th to early 20th century Burmese dha sword. The sword is 28.5in. overall with an 18in. blade that is thick and very sharp. The hilt is finely carved ivory in a familiar floral motif that seems to imprison a human figure or demon. There is a finely worked bolster and pommel cap with the hilt. The ivory shows a nice patination with one very mild age crack.
The scabbard is silver worked over wood with red glass or mock gem insets. They may be tiny rubies, but doubtful.

The sword is in superb, clean condition overall.

The price is $950 and $30 in postage and insurance anywhere in the US. Shipping will be higher outside the US.
