1833 Ames u.s. Dragoon Saber
 

hi ive got an 1833 pattern u.s. dragoon sabre..
in decent condition .. less common civil war era sword

marked n. p. ames, springfireld, 1837 on the blade..
made before 1847 when Ames changed their name
swords with this engraved marking are made 1834-1837..

W.S. inspector mark (William Smith, 1828-1843)
no sheath...
some leather missing on the top of the grip..
blade in good condition
