Help with Arabic Khanjar and Jambiya

for my exhibition, I need your help. the left three, Ibrahiim has already been identified. (Salaam Chregu, I speak of the 3 on the left. Extreme left.1.Omani Royal Khanjar used in Salalah. 2 Saudia Abha. (habaabi or ahbaabi) Asir region. (Yemeni hilt) 3 Oman Baatinah coastal ... did one Has A bovine hilt. Thanks ... Regards, Ibrahiim Balooshi al.) the origin of the other daggers is unclear. the big up front: = Central Saudi Arabia? Middle Left: = persian? Middle Right: = heiaz Yemen? Number 4 +5? I would like you to refer to this previous thread and go to the last post, where the term "habaabi" is discussed http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...hlight=habaabi Rather than being an area, it is, according to Ibrahiim's response, a convenient term used by Omanis to describe non Omani jambiya. Ibrahiim has described your #2 as this. It certainly seems to be Saudia but as to actual area, I can not help. Stu |
