New book out

Just like we do with reviewing movies, we should do with other means of information in the matter more often, like books for example. This is the perfect table book, new apparition:

BATTLE – a visual journey through 5000 years of combat by R.G. Grant
Published in 2005 by DK of New York, NY.

Its big, its easy reading and its pouring with images like DK encyclopedias do, fantastic pictures of the best kind, including some of the most magnificent arms and armour pieces. Large format, an over twelve by ten inches with 360 pages, its something a father and a son can enjoy and even a mother take a peak at, when guys not at home. It was the gift I bought myself on Christmas. It has a very simple and effective approach and review of over 500 major battles from 3000 BC to last years conflicts. For any forumites this is pure eye candy, giving geographical, statistical and graphical data in a very enticing way filled with the greatest of pictures. I love table books and no offense to "Monet" and "Cuisine of India" but this is "creme de la creme" Lucky me I even found it on sale, about thirty bucks at Barnes & Noble...
I don’t know how easy to get it outside the U.S. but here I’ve seen it poppin' out on the shelves on any major bookstore in California.
