Help with identification

Your thoughts on this item would be appreciated please. Personally I think it reminds of one of the daggers that you sometimes see in the Sudanese trousse sets. Although this dagger does not have Thuluth script on the blade. I have also seen daggers from india using this type of horn for their handles. Apologizes for the lack of good close ups, I need to get a digital camera with a good macro facility or lens.

Thanks
Taff

Hey TaffJones,

These are tourist knives. I remember buying some in Egypt at alHussain market. They are probably made in Sudan but could be any part of Africa.

you come to Cairo ... when I'm not there ...!
or, you don't tell me nothing  .... I joke :p

Cairo ... crazy ... the word is weak
I does some pictures (I'll put them soon), when I visited the "museum Islamic Cairo"
but very few "edged weapons" ... as well as to Military Museum of Cairo, at the Citadel Salah el Din,
I went some years ago to visit this last museum, and I've been very disappointed
