Hi,
This is called a Parang Nabur? but there are much more knowledgeable Forumites on this subject than me. Hopefully this wee bump to the top will elicit a more complete and interesting response for you.

Yes it is a parang nabur and is from Indonesia.

Yep, made in the Negara/Banjar area (SE Borneo) and widely traded throughout the archipelago.

PN is an erraneous collector's name though - beladah belabang seems to be the actual local moniker.

BTW, the red paint is traditional - don't clean it off... ;)
