Tombak with two Nagas

Here is an unusual Tombak for comment. It has two Nagas carved on the both sides of the blade. The blade is thick, heavy and very sharp. The scabbard wood looks old. Is it an old thing from Bali/Lombok? Or maybe a modern Madura production? :)

Unusual Pesi

Tatyana, I am afraid this is a recent work, Nogo's in any case, scabbard: a very big possibility. It is also possible, the material (iron) itself is an old one.

This kind of pesi, puntiran (twisted), is not so rare on keris.

Thank you Gustav for the explanation :)

The carving is quite crisp for an old blade; maybe added later ?

Is that a large forging flaw I see on one side ?

Yes Rick, there is a couple of forging flows on one side...
