Ancient Arrow Head

Hello Friends,

another riddle for discussing (or solving it).

The seller told me, that this is an arrow head of a heavy crossbow from china and more than 2000 years old.

I am not sure because the barbe has an quadrat shape and isnt sharpened.
Maybe he ist right, but i have no literature about this time to proof this.
Do you have ?

best regards from Dirk

Hi Dirk

Yes the arrow head does look Chinese to me. I have a number of these in different shapes will see if I can find some pics to post.

Here are a few from my collection. These are all Chinese bronze arrow heads that I picked up in the last ten years.

Thanks Lew,
but sorry no one of yours has that unspecific and unsharpened barb hook, what makes me wonder

Dirk

There are hundreds of different arrow head designs each had a specific purpose so just because it has a unique shape does not exclude it from being of Chinese origin.
