INTERESTING SWORD HANDLE, PHILIPPINE?

THIS WENT BY ON EBAY A WHILE BACK, IT WAS SAID TO BE A PHILIPPINE SWORD HANDLE. I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT BUT IT STRIKES ME AS MORE INDONESIAN OR MALAYSIAN. ANY GUESSES OR COMMENTS WELCOME. :)
