Hello, I am trying to get information on a blow gun. I do not know its origin/history other than my dad purchased it about 16 years ago and has been in the family ever since. It's about 6ft in length. Please find the photo links below. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help will be appreciated. Regards.

I have a feeling that this is an Asian blow gun. The sort used by the Malay aboriginals like the Semai.

It is South American. I have one in my collection with the needles, needle bag with Kapok wadding and a large white Piranha jaw suspended from the bag.

Hi Winnlex. We do generally request that you upload images directly to the site. What inevitable happens otherwise is that down the road images like this are removed from servers leaving a useless discussion in our archives because there are no longer images available of what is being discussed. :)

Strong gut feeling that it is a Yagua blowgun - but I could be wrong...
