Stone Arrow heads

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
did we have a thread about stone arrow heads already ?
I got these here in germany, but the seller says, that they might come from the US.
One is a lance head i guess, this is about 11 cm.
They are of differnet stone material, from red to tigerstriped yellow and black.
Maybe someone has a good link for me how to decide if it is an old one or a recent made one.
Thanks

Dirk

THERE ARE POSTS ON STONE POINTS MOST LIKELY IN THE ARCHIVES.
YOUR POINTS LOOK LIKE THEY ARE FROM THE NEO-LITHIC AND PERHAPS FROM NORTH AMERICA AND ARE NOT NEWLY MADE. (WITH JUST PICTURES THERE IS NO WAY TO BE SURE)

THE LARGEST ONE MAY BE A KNIFE OR LANCE HEAD THE OTHERS ARE MORE LIKELY SPEAR POINTS OFTEN THROWN USING AN ATL ATL (SPEAR THROWER). THE SMALLEST MAY BE ARROW POINTS. YOU HAVE A INTERESTING RANGE OF MATERIALS ( STONE), COLLECTORS WHO ARE MORE WELL INFORMED THAN I COULD PROBABLY TELL WHERE THE STONE ORIGINATED AS WELL AS AGE. I COLLECT STONE POINTS LOCALLY BUT HAVE NEVER DONE THE RESEARCH OR HAD THE EXPERIENCE TO BE OF MUCH HELP. PERHAPS THERE IS A FORUM ON STONE POINTS WHERE THOSE MORE KNOWLEGABLE MAY BE OF MORE HELP. GOOD LUCK
