These items are called suweng (Jav.), sengkang (Kr.), subang (Ind.)

They are earstuds.

You can still see the occasional elderly Javanese village lady wearing these when they come to town. When at home they wear rolled up palm leaf in the hole to keep it open.

gilt over silver, rose cut rock crystal, garnets, diamonds.

Amazing that this tradition goes back millennia and is still used as far as Borneo and the Philippines, and now even in the US.
