Hi, can anyone cast any light on the origins of the coin on the butt of my latest dha. The photos are a little poor I am afraid.

It is a coin from Thailand, a Satang. They were minted between 1908 and 1937. Sorry, can not identify the exact year, I am more involved in Ottoman coins and can not read Thai figures. Please find enclosed a copy from Standard Catalogue of World Coins, 1984, 10th edition.

I just found out that the year is written on the reverse side, so it is impossible to read it on your coin... :( ... unless you remove it... :D
