Dear Carlos,

Congrats - very nice engravings on the blade!

Interesting carrying hook & chain; any similar examples?

Regards,
Kai

May be Vietnamese dagger. Engraving in the French style.

Sorry for my english  All parts of the dagger are Vietnamese in style (including the hilt), with the exception of engraving and belt hook.
French art and craft style was widespread in Vietnam in the 20-40s of the 20th century.

Hello Carlos, What a beautiful new addition to your collection. Before I offer my two cents worth (opinion) on the possible origin of this piece would you be so kind as to add a few new photos? If not asking too much I would like to see a close-up side view of the hilt taken straight on and not at an angle. Another that would clearly show the end of the hilt, one of the scabbards throat showing where the blade would be inserted and lastly a good side view of the tip of the scabbard. Again, my congratulations on yet another beautiful addition to your ever growing collection.

Best,
Robert

Nice dagger Carlos.
It looks very PI even without the cross guard.
