Daab. Thailand, Laos or Vietnam “Montagnard”. Late 19th Century.
Brass and rattan fittings. Pitch covered scabbard. Originally obtained from antiquities dealer in Thailand.

Overall length: 75.5 cm
Blade length: 48.5 cm
Handle length: 28 cm
Scabbard length: 50.5 cm

This particular sword was loaned to the Macao Museum of Art for the "History of Steel in East Asia" exhibit, and is featured in the catalogue from that exhibit via the following photos:
