Looks like it even if the side motifs are a bit unusual on this hilt.
Could they have been carved later?

Hi Michael it don t look like it .
This mandau is from the Herbert Da Silva collection .

Just have 2 weeks or so.

Hello Ben & Michael,

it looks like the antler was a tad too small for the job - I guess this could have influenced the carving/design?

I have something similar where also the antler seems too small for the job.

It is from The 'Willem 't Hart' collection. :D :D :D
