Need Help with Identification
 

I am trying to figure out what exactly this is. It has been passed down to me and I have no knowledge if it. I was told that it is possibly from the philipines and from luzon. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. The handle is wooden and has mother of pearl in lay, the sheath is also made of wood and is engraved.

I AGREE FROM THE WORKMANSHIP AND TYPE IT APPEARS TO BE A PHILLIPINE MADE DAGGER. THE SCABBARD AND GAURD ARE UNUSUAL FOR A PHILIPPINE DAGGER BUT WELL WITHIN THE WIDE RANGE OF STYLES OCCURING IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS OVER TIME. I WOULD GUESS THIS WAS MADE WW2 OR LATER. PERHAPS SOME OF THE COLLECTORS SPECIALIZING IN THIS TYPE OF KNIFE CAN ADD BETTER INFORMATION. GOOD LUCK :)
