Any help with this cartouche would be much appreciated. An uncommon example with a pennant inlaid into the blade. I've seen a similar Mughal pennant on a dagger in the recent Hales publication.

ArmsAndAntiques, isn't this weapon offered for sale on a commercial website?

ArmsAndAntiques:

Okay, I see you have logged into the forum since I posted my inquiry above. Evidently, however, you did not deem it important or necessary to provide us with an answer.

Not only is the item shown in this thread offered for sale on your own, commercial website, but so, apparently, are the other two items you started threads about since joining this forum.

This thread was posted shortly after you returned to the forum following a 10-day ban for posting an item that was offered elsewhere in an active auction. That ban is now permanent.

Correction of Mod Error

Well, I owe ArmsAndAntiques an apology. I was mistaken--this thread was posted prior to the thread which resulted in a 10 day ban.

AAA's ban is lifted with my apologies. :o
