Dear folks ,
I found this in my trip to the east side of sumbawa island.
The figural hilt who made of wood and the selut made of copper and gems (saphere )
I really dont have idea about the age ,and also the the name of the hilt
Your comments are very expecting ,to give me more info about this

Thank you ,

Interesting hilt, it seems to have some age, similar to the togogan balinese style but apparently depicting an islamic figure, may be an imam?
Regards :)

Interesting indeed, since Islam does not allow human, animal or demonic figures. This is same reason that lot of hilts got stylized to (example) solo and Yogja hilts. But i know that on Sumbawa has things older than Islam still applied.

Why would he be a Imam(just wondering, why you think that)? Every muslim can be a imam, on the moment he leads the prayer IMO.

I rather think he looks like Bung Karno :P
