Tiny gunong for comment
 

Hello Friends,
I found this tiny gunong on Ebay. Overall length is 5 3/4" overall (146 mm). It looked small in the auction, but I didn't realize how small it was. It's the smallest I've ever seen. Would this have been used by a woman or a child? The brass ferrule and the bands on the scabbard are seamless. Possibly made from cartridge casings of various sizes. It is simple, but of good quality. The monosteel blade is hardened, and well shaped in a diamond cross section. Any comments welcomed. The last picture shows it with my largest 17 1/4" (438 mm) gunong.

That's a great little gunong you've got there! I really don't know what these small weapons were made for. I always thought of them as being made "for those who travel". Possible for use as a letter opener or as you say maybe for a child? Anyway, yours is one of the nicest ones that I've seen. Anybody have any idea on the small one? Real? Tourist? It is made to a similar quality as my larger genuine ones. But the small size throws me.

C'mon Steve we all know that both daggers are the same. The small one got bigger after you rubbed it with that magic cloth of yours :eek: ;). No it is not a tourist piece probably a small boys dagger.
