Keris and Indonésian weapons of the Branly Museum (Paris)

Hello,
Here is a link that will interest some of you.
These are the collections of the Musée Branly in Paris. This rich ethnographic museum shows one or two Indonesian weapons in showcase while there are hundreds in its reserves ... a real mess ... :(
This database is very poorly designed because the same type of weapon can have 2 to 3 different designations, the Indonesian names are not always indicated (often with errors and very vague information about the provenance).

Unfortunately it is impossible to copy paste directly the links on the forum, it bugues systematically. So you'll have to look for Kriss, Parang or Pedang in the top left corner (the small magnifying glass on a green background) to get other results.
I also advise you to search Van Hengst.

Athanase, your links seem to lead to a page of miscellaneous artifacts, most of which don't even seem to be Indonesian. I scrolled down a bit without seeing a single keris so i am confused as to the point of you post.

Sorry, but the links on the forum are not the links I copied / pasted.
It bugged somewhere.
I will put the right link back, but it will have to copy collet manually, and the normally it should be good.

Perhaps i can help....:
when you press the link you arrive on a page with all kind of miscellaneous artifacts.
But when you press then the the small magnifying glass (as Athanase told us) and then insert the word "Kriss" pages full of krisses are shown.
I added the parts of the screen you need.

Thank you Seerp. The collection is not bad but the descriptions are miserable, I will visit them and propose my assistance, it shows the lack of interest towards the kris in France...

Even I who am still far from being a specialist I could correct very numerous errors and bring precision.
There is in reserve widely of which to go up a temporary exhibition on the Indonesian weapons because they have a little of everything, even Moluccas parang.
The only museum which I know or have little to see Kriss in Paris it is the Guimet museum (museum of Asian arts)but there is no data base online (exept for photos and some rare objects).

I re-visited the Asian Arts Museum recently and they only exhibit 2 krisses with partially wrong descriptions...
