Danish M 1772 Holster pistol.

Hi Cerjak,

That's a nice holster pistol. It's interesting that the Danish/Norwegian M 1772
shares several features with the French pattern 1733 Dragoon pistol, such
as the prominent brass foresight and distinctive brass fore-end cap, but not the unbridled frizzen. What is the barrel length and the bore size ? I would
guess around 12" and .65 inch.

Best regards, Simon.

I can see in the lock a small mark near the frizzen spring but I can't read it.
Only thr ramrod I have in bad condition is from wood.
The size and the weight( without ramrod) is the same.
But how to recognize Norway model from Danish production.
see exactly similar example .

Yes Simon it is right , the 1733 is a nice pistol but very expensive in original size ( around 48 cm)
The barrel size from my 1772 is 33 cm sorry I Don't know by head how much is it could be in inch.
