Whatzit coat of arms?

Whatzit coat of arms? Photos harvested in 2011. Of course, listed as pappy's sword as a confederate during the American Civil War (1861-1865). Most know the sword type but the question is the coat of arms.

I have to figure the crown was for royalty but are we looking at,like, a state of Italy or something of France itself? The guard is very French Second Empire but that doesn't fit with the crown. A French influenced state of...? A personal coat of arms?

I figure ravens with lions might jog someones mental data bank.

Cheers

Sort of looks Spanish to me.

I think this is the coat of arms of the Grand Master of the German Order (Deutscher Orden)

if there is a presence of the Aragon poles or stripes this may be an Southern Italian coat of arms relative to the Kingdom of the two Sicilies ( Kingdom of Naples). There are many variations.

Looks like a project for a genealogy student. The crown is a royal one. The Confederate grandpappy must've been a blueblood. The sword is of the French fashion, as everyone knows.

a better picture of the engraved coat of arms woud surely help but I certainly go with the Italian connection
