Balkann Necklace

Hi!

I've got that necklace toghether with the Laz Bicagi. I think that it is a balkan (maybe Montenegro) manufacture. It seems quite old. It is made from silver with various coral inserts (typical for balkan made yatagans) and a beautiful central shiny red stone, like a ruby (i'm almost sure that it is not a ruby, cos if it were, I'm going for a verry verry long vacation :D )

At the first look it seems a normal wedding necklace. Could be something else. But The central clip looking ornament is verry strange and seems that it has maybe another purpose rather that is only a decoration. looks like a clip for something, but I would think that the chain is rather too fragile for holding a pouder flask or carthridge. It is marked but I cannot say what the mark says.

Is anbody familiar with it?
?im wondering if it has something to do with arms or armor....
