Safety first! Check this out: TASER SWORD
This is a fearsome knife! Slightly OT, but you have to see it!
youtube taser sword Seriously don't try this at home kids. |
Lodge this in the not too bright box but lots of imagination...The guy with the superman necklace in the following video is a braver lad than I.....

Combination weapons are nothing new.
How many firearm blades are out there? Axes with single shot powder balls? As things often go...neither weapon is used as one may wish. In this case the cutting ability of the swords are near nil, but that is not really the point of the thing. Ric |

Although the builder's own safety seems in doubt! In fact the pro's of his design are rather interesting. As a non-lethal weapon the deterant of the potentially lethal blades would make anyone on the other end extremely wary, while the sharp fine points would mean that achieveing the required skin 'contact' to deliver the electric shock would not be difficult. Furthermore, as a weapon to cause physical injury, the two blades side by side are a long established favourite of gangs and general toerags as any wound delivered is much more difficult to stitch. The long edge would prevent any unwise grabbing and the blades would still allow for an effective stab. However, I wasn't claiming to show the video for any of those reasons. |

Another pro is it can defend/block another steel weapon such as a sword and in contact deliver the taser force, something a SERT memeber in Brisbane would have loved over a decade ago when he lost a finger in a sword attack..... |

Hi Gene,
A sordid version of ethnographic weaponry, i would say  Lacking better material to discuss ? |

I find that an occasional light hearted thread can be a pleasant diversion from too much 'seriousness'. And no, I have plenty of things that I could discuss. But if I had to be 'super serious' all of the time I think that it would probobly simply put me off of discussing anything at all. ;) |
No super seriousness required in here, Gene; that is a rather subjective statement.
But the taste of OT material may be subject to a determined level. Sorry  |
