Help with identifying a recent find

Hi,
Would anybody be able to help me with identifying this item.
I guess it might be described as a belt knife. Measures about 21 cm , but feels a heavy piece. Sheath is wooden with metal banding and remnants of some leather, the grip is horn construction. There are some punched markings to the metal .
I know this is the best place to come for advice http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/newthr...newthread&f=2#

Blade may be from Spain

The blade shape and the markings (Hard to see in these photos) resemble a type from Spain. See photo item "D". That's all I have for now. Good luck!
