Siamese (?) Spear?

I found this in Laos, it is 55cm long and the shaft was some (unfortunately) some worm eaten bamboo.

the tang was fixed in with a form of resin, the shaft tapered and the brass collar covered the top of the bamboo shaft.

Any idea if it is possible to narrow it down geographically?

With the Bamboo the spear was about 2 meters long.

Very nice, I have not seen too many spears or lances from that area. there is currently one on Ashoka's site from Burma that matches the basic blade form of yours I cannot link just the picture so I ask the moderator to feel free to edit this if it violates the items for sale policies

Hi,

thanks for the info, it does indeed look similar, it seems to be a Generic shape for the region?

The shaft on mine was not as elaborate, just bamboo, tapered at the top.

I found this near Luang Prabang... it was a joy to find after handling dozens of made for Tourist swords....

Hi Chris, first of all welcome!! Is the shaft completly gone or is only in bad conditions? Maybe you can try to consolidate ;)
