I Need identification for this sword I just bought it and I should receive it in 10 days.
So I only have those pictures.
Blade is 87 cm
Wooden grip and steel pommel total long 105 cm.
Any comment on it would be welcome.

Its a Sudanese kaskara with what looks to be a replacement pommel.

Thank you Iain Could you let me know what make you think that it could be a replacement pommel and also from which period this sword could be.
I will post more pics from the pommel as soon I will receive it.

I suspect it's a replacement because the form is simply not traditional. It is not unusual for kaskara to be modified in Europe to more closely resemble "medieval" swords. More images would certainly help. :-) The blade and guard are likely 19th century.

Hi

Thank you for those aditionnal informations.
I found it a good proposal that somebody managed to make this sword look like a mediaval sword.
I will post more pics ASAP to clarify this fact.
