LANGKASUKA MOTIFS?

I found this keris hilt recently.... Curious to know the ornament style. Could I say, this is a certain hilt with langkasuka motifs? Or just souvenir quality hilt, which ressemble a "langkasuka keris hilt"?

Hello Ganja,

when it is a souvenir hilt the quality of carving is very good! ;) :D

The hulu was made by a known living master, certainly not tourist as he makes bespoke pieces.

Hullo ganjawulung! :)

IMVHO ..... a very nice application of the daun sayap/melayu/langkasukha motif to decorate the accentuated features of the bird, while still maintaining focus on the wijayakusumah bud. (methinks: covet not thy fellow forumite's hilt ;) ).

Best,
